Limestone Farms & Hatchery Policies

All of these polices have been enacted because of actual events that have taken place on this farm

 Animals

  • Our chickens are wing sexed. This method is 80% accurate. We do our best to ensure that our customers receive the correct gender; however, our method is not perfect, and we apologize for any inconvenience. With that said, we DO NOT offer refunds or credits for incorrect sexing.
  • Duck and Chicken wholesale prices are available for orders over 100 animals.
  • We do allow for animals to be held for a certain period of time. Holding or reserving an animal requires a non-refundable 25% deposit. This ensures the animal will be held for 10 days. If the customer has not taken delivery of the animal within 14 days a boarding fee of $25 per week (7 days), beginning on the first day, will be added to the final cost. After 30 days, the transaction will be cancelled, and the deposit will be forfeited. Deposits can be refunded if the animal has died or received a serious life altering injury. The decision to refund deposits will be at the sole discretion of the owner of Limestone Farms and Hatchery, Inc.
  • Livestock transport fees MUST be paid in full prior to delivery.
  • We guarantee our poultry for 24 hours. In the event that a bird you purchase dies, you must inform us within 24 hours. You MUST bring the dead animal back and we will either exchange it for a bird of equal value or refund the purchase price. Because of our accounting and credit card software, we do not allow for partial exchanges, i.e. a bird of lesser value and a cash refund.


 Shoplifting, Harassing Phone Calls, and Other Legal Matters.

  • Due to past harassing phone calls, if you call more than 5 times in a short period of time without leaving a message or texting, your number will be blocked.
  • Shoplifters will be detained and prosecuted in accordance with N.C.G.S. 14-72.1(c). Shoplifters will also be subject to civil process and will be permanently banned from the property.
  • Persons who are extremely rude, abusive, or obscene will be asked to leave or have their phone number blocked and face banning from the property.
  • If you trespass anywhere on the property you will be asked to leave. If you cross the biosecurity line, which is well marked, you will be asked to leave and may return a different day.
  • If you trespass at the creek, or into any livestock pasture, pen, or the chicken house you will be permanently banned from the property and we will seek a warrant for your arrest.













 Driving complaints

  • We do not accept driving complaints. All of our vehicles are equipped with dash cameras. People lie, videos do not.


​ Miscellaneous

  • Under no circumstances can you bring outside animals to the farm without prior written permission, text messages from the main phone number DO constitute written permission.
  • There will be no livestock purchase walk-ins. This is due to the preparation needed to corral animals, so they can be viewed for purchase. This effort is to reduce the stress of the animals.​
  • DO NOT bring alcohol to the farm. You will be asked to leave immediately. If you are suspected of DWI we WILL call NC Highway Patrol.
  • If you are more than 30 minutes late for an appointment, your appointment will be cancelled and you must make a new appointment.
  • ​Our credit card software does not allow for partial refunds of transactions, therefore refunds will be give in the form of cash or check. The decision to refund and form of refund will be at the sole discretion of Limestone Farms and Hatchery, Inc.
  • All refunds or prizes must be claimed within 14 days
